Move in Day!

Its finally here! Today is move-in day. I got the better end of the deal because I'm at work in air conditioning while Ben and a few other people are actually packing up our stuff and moving it. Tonight I'll be sleeping in my new house and joy of joys it will be ours. Our first home! I. CAN'T. WAIT. Pictures will be forthcoming.

Almost there

We have almost reached a very exciting yet scary goal. We are almost the proud owners of our own home. We were suppose to close today in anticipation that we would be able to move in this weekend, but alas it was not to be. Since pioneer day is a holiday in this state even if we did the paperwork today nothing would process until monday and we would not get the keys until Tuesday. So now we will be moving in the middle of next week when no one can help us. Thank you pioneer day for making my life harder. Oh yeah and thanks to Provo city for not coming through on the downpayment assistance program and for wasting our time for an extra week they didn't need too, if they had even told us one day sooner than they had I could have moved into my house this weekend. That is all before I get really bitter. I promise pictures soon.

Camping

I was unloading pictures from my camera the other day and realized that never posted anything about the Camping trip Ben and I took at the end of May on memorial day weekend. Here are the highlights. We camped in the mountains. It was pretty but a slight bit cool. That is in fact snow on the mountain behind me. We also took Boston, he was delighted at all the new smells. Here we have Ben "the fire master" Blanchette. He took his job very seriously.

Boston wanted to help by stealing the firewood. A fierce battle ensued, Boston won mostly because he made me laugh. He got to keep his piece of firewood and I found another stick to place on the fire.

Boston also kept me warm while we sat around the fire. Ben and I spent the rest of the night freezing and trying to sleep on the hard ground. There were highlights of cooking hot dogs and s'mores around the fire though. Overall it was a good trip minus the lack of sleep and coldness.
